Medens Health is thrilled to announce the launch of its comprehensive mental health services in the vibrant city of San Francisco. This expansion is part of Medens Health's commitment to increasing access to quality mental health care covered by insurance. With the recent inclusion in the San Francisco Medi-Cal managed care network of providers, Medens Health is now poised to offer therapy and testing services to over 145,000 members, furthering their mission of providing accessible care to the community.
"California has long faced challenges in the availability and affordability of mental health services," noted Mindia Gabichvadze, PsyD, co-founder and CEO of Medens Health. "Many clinicians do not accept insurance, resulting in prohibitively high costs for the average Californian. That's why we are excited to partner with the San Francisco Health Plan, an organization that recognizes the need to remove barriers to effective care."
Medens Health has been delivering its services virtually across California since 2020, ensuring patients have access to care regardless of their location. Alongside their virtual offerings, Medens Health currently operates four locations throughout California and one in Nevada, providing a range of services, including adolescent, individual, and couples psychotherapy, as well as comprehensive psychological testing.
To celebrate the opening of the new office in San Francisco, Medens Health is now accepting new patients.
