Introducing Our 2024-2025 Doctoral Trainees

We are excited to welcome 11 exceptional students into Medens Health's Clinical Training Program for the 2024-2025 academic year. Each of these students has demonstrated remarkable dedication and enthusiasm for the field of psychology, and we are honored to be part of their professional journey. Meet the Students of the 2024-2025 Academic Year


Tal Arnoff

Tal’s approach to mental health is highly collaborative, offering clients a nonjudgmental space to explore their experiences. As an immigrant and member of multiple minority groups, she brings a unique multicultural perspective, providing compassionate insight into the complex challenges many clients face.

Eli Ballard

Eli is passionate about fostering kindness, respect, and inclusion in his therapeutic practice, creating a safe and empathetic environment for clients. With extensive experience working with children and young adults, he focuses on setting goals that align with each client’s values while ensuring that they feel genuinely cared for and supported.

Miyue Chen

Miyue approaches her work with humanistic values, fostering genuine connections to ease the anxiety of starting therapy or assessments. Specializing in psychological assessments, Miyue brings a multicultural perspective, shaped by her upbringing in China, and is fluent in Mandarin, offering valuable support to clients navigating cultural identity challenges or preferring to communicate in their native language.

Amber Dinh

Amber’s approach to mental health focuses on holistic well-being, creating a compassionate, inclusive space where clients can feel comfortable and heard. Drawing on her diverse background and belief in the mind-body connection, she helps clients explore what matters most to them, guiding them toward self-discovery and practical solutions for a balanced life.

Ashley Dorsey

Ashley is committed to advocating for vulnerable populations and creating a welcoming, safe space where clients feel comfortable sharing their stories. She focuses on reshaping unhelpful thought patterns and personal narratives, offering tailored strategies that empower clients to achieve meaningful and lasting growth with empathy and care.

Sabrina Ellis

Inspired by her own life experiences, Sabrina is committed to providing culturally competent care. She views therapy as a collaborative relationship, focusing on clients’ strengths and offering practical tools to support both mental and physical well-being in a safe, respectful space.

Jillian Lowey

Jillian’s background in Division 1 athletics sparked her passion for mental health, recognizing its critical role in performance and well-being. Now a Certified Mental Performance Consultant, she uses a collaborative, team-oriented approach to therapy, helping clients—athletes and non-athletes alike—harness their minds for growth and achievement.

Wanchuan Pan

Wanchuan’s practice is guided by the belief that while past experiences may not be your fault, moving forward is your responsibility. Specializing in psychological assessments, Wanchuan takes a deeply empathetic approach, focusing on understanding each client’s unique story and creating a supportive environment where personal growth and transformation can occur.

Selin Sozer

Selin creates a secure, non-judgmental environment where clients feel heard and understood. She incorporates mindfulness principles into her practice, promoting self-reflection and growth. Specializing in psychological assessments, Selin tailors each assessment to meet clients’ unique needs, guiding them through the process to provide clear insights into their strengths and challenges.

Angelos Tsalafos

Angelos helps individuals find clarity, balance, and fulfillment through a personalized, culturally sensitive approach to therapy. Fluent in French and Greek, he connects deeply with clients from diverse backgrounds and tailors evidence-based strategies to each person's unique needs, fostering strong, trusting relationships throughout the therapeutic journey.

Lidia Wossen 

Lidia is known for quickly building strong connections with her clients. With a background in both the performing arts and competitive sports, she brings a unique perspective to optimizing mental wellness. She uses a client-centered, holistic approach, tailoring therapy to each individual’s specific needs, values, and goals.

About the Clinical Training Program


Medens Health’s Clinical Training Program is a one-year, in-person program designed to train students in both psychotherapy and psychological assessments. This advanced pre-internship program equips students with the foundational skills, knowledge, and experience needed to excel in their predoctoral internships and future careers.

Throughout the program, students benefit from intensive supervision and training provided by clinical psychologists, postdoctoral fellows, Marriage and Family Therapists, and Clinical Social Workers. They’ll engage with 5 to 10 psychotherapy clients per week and complete up to three psychological assessments monthly, gaining invaluable hands-on experience.

Every trainee in the program is paired with a postdoctoral fellow who serves as their mentor, helping them shape and pursue their professional goals. As trainees build confidence and competence, they will be entrusted with increasingly complex cases, ensuring continued growth and development throughout the year.
